About Us

The Anambra Forum Stuttgart (AFS) is a vibrant and forward-looking community of Anambra sons and daughters living in Stuttgart and across the Baden-Württemberg region of Germany. We are a family built on unity, mutual support, and cultural pride. Our forum brings together people from all walks of life such as students, professionals, business owners, and families who share a common heritage and a shared desire to promote the identity and values of Anambra State, one of Nigeria’s most industrious and culturally rich regions. At AFS, we come together not just as individuals, but as a family deeply committed to supporting one another.

We celebrate our heritage, culture, and tradition with pride. We showcase the beauty of Igbo customs and the enduring spirit of Anambra people. Through our various gatherings, festivals, and social programs, we keep alive the values of love, unity, hard work, and mutual respect. We also strive to build meaningful bridges with our German hosts, as well as with other Nigerian and African communities in Germany and around the world. These partnerships foster understanding, cooperation, and friendship across cultures.

Our mission is clear and practical: unity, support, growth, and service. We believe that no one should walk alone, especially in a foreign land such as Germany, where several restrictions and barriers hinder Africans from thriving to their full potential. We work to make every member feel at home here in Germany while staying firmly connected to our roots in Anambra State, Nigeria. Our vision is to nurture a strong, organized community that uplifts its members, represents Anambra people with dignity, and contributes positively to both German and Nigerian societies.

We express our mission through practical actions. We directly and indirectly help new arrivals to settle smoothly by offering guidance, advice, and emotional support. We assist with language learning, integration programs, and access to community networks. We share job opportunities and business ideas. We encourage entrepreneurship and self-reliance. We organize youth mentorship and family programs that strengthen family bonds and prepare the younger generation to become responsible global citizens. In times of joy, we celebrate together; in times of challenge or need, we stand by one another with compassion and solidarity. Our guiding principles include honest leadership, accountability, transparency, and a spirit of volunteer service.

We believe that when each member contributes positively, the entire community becomes stronger. Through shared responsibility and open communication, we have built a trusted forum where ideas grow and where every voice counts. We are Ndi Anambra, a people known for resilience, intelligence, and innovation. Here in the Stuttgart region of Germany, we continue to uphold the legacy of our forefathers while embracing the opportunities of our new home.

AFS welcomes everyone who respects our values and vision. You may be Anambra by birth, by marriage, or by friendship. You may be Igbo, from another Nigerian ethnic group, or a German friend who shares our love for culture and community. What matters most is your belief in unity, service, and the betterment of others. If you hold these values dear, then this is your home too. We do not segregate.
At the heart of it all, AFS is more than just a forum; it is a family, a support network, and a symbol of hope. Together, we remind the world that wherever Anambra people go, they carry excellence, integrity, and community spirit with them.
