Constitution / By-laws

The Anambra Forum Stuttgart (AFS) operates under a written constitution that defines who we are and how we function as a community. Our constitution is the foundation of our association, it sets forth our objectives, values, and operational framework. It ensures that everything we do is guided by fairness, transparency, and accountability. It clearly outlines our membership rules, including eligibility, responsibilities, and rights of every registered member.

Within its pages, the constitution also provides a detailed description of our meeting procedures and the democratic process through which we elect our officers. It ensures that leadership transitions are smooth, that members have a voice, and that decisions reflect the collective will of the community. The document also includes well-defined financial guidelines, covering income, expenditures, audits, and financial reporting.

This helps us maintain a high level of trust and accountability in the management of our common resources. The constitution further defines the roles and duties of all officers and sets the ethical standards expected of everyone in leadership positions. It emphasizes service, integrity, and transparency. It reminds every leader that their first responsibility is to the welfare of members and the overall progress of the association. A current PDF version of the AFS constitution is available on the Resources Page of our members’ portal. Access is strictly for registered members of the association. Every member is encouraged to read, understand, and uphold the constitution, as it serves as both a guide and a bond that unites us in shared purpose.
