The youth represent the heartbeat and future of AFS. We invest heavily in programs that help them grow in knowledge, discipline, and self-confidence. Through our Youth Empowerment and Mentorship Circles, we connect young people with experienced professionals and mentors who guide them on academic, professional, and personal development paths.
We teach soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and leadership, qualities that are essential in school, at work, and in daily life. We also introduce our youths to basic coding, digital and financial literacy, and career planning, preparing them to compete effectively in the modern world.
To preserve their sense of identity, we organize cultural education classes, where young members learn about Igbo traditions, proverbs, stories, and values. These sessions remind them of where they come from and the greatness they can achieve. Above all, we encourage our youths to dream big, act responsibly, respect their elders, and carry the pride of being Anambra sons and daughters wherever they go.
